Whereas plants continual change offers interest and intrigue in the landscape, this same interest can quickly turn to fear if it is generated from changing hardscape surfaces including: pavers, bluestone, limestone even stone walls. Often described as the, "bones of the landscape" their permanence is the cornerstone of a landscape experience.
Time, climate and vegetation are only a small number of the factors that influence the durability of a hardscape. Our goal is to retard the negative effects of these factors without producing a landscape that is static and devoid of a sense of history. After time they may require minor applications of organic cleaning solvents, periodic sand applications between the cracks, even pressure washing. The most important thing is to catch a changing hardscape quickly before significant damage occurs.
