We strive to provide an exceptionally well thought out design to every
client we visit. The first presentation will likely be made in a
blueprint format showing approximate locations and proportions of site
elements with material options. At this point the client will be
asked to make one of the three decisions:
Option A: “Continue Working with Biosphere”
A retainer, a portion of which will be credited towards the final
construction invoice, will be requested to continue design
development. For residential clients this fee typically
ranges from $250.00 to $3,000.00. A design contract will be
issued indicating the proposed design services. Ultimately, if a
construction contract is not awarded to Biosphere, inc. the retainer
will not be refunded and the client has the option to keep the
drawings.
Option B: “Take the Drawings and Run”
The client can keep the preliminary drawings for a fee determined on a
project specific basis. For residential clients the fee may
ranges from $250.00 to $1,000.00. These drawings are only
preliminary and conceptual in nature and the owner is required to
assume responsibility for their contents and potential omissions.
Option C: “No Obligation”
There is no obligation for both the perspective client and Biosphere,
inc. to continue working together. We recognize that in some cases
there may be a difference in design aesthetics, technical approach or
some other impasse that can not be surmounted. No drawings
or monies will be exchanged.
Because our design team boasts professional certification in the field
of Landscape Architecture we require the above stated retainer to
assure us that our clients are as serious about design as we are.
We have found that when given time and the confidence of our
perspective clients to concentrate on their projects we can produce
unique and responsive solutions.
